one school, all twelve years of it. where i learned to lead a room and argue a point.

house captain → cultural secretary

vice captain, then captain of my house, then cultural secretary of the whole school.

a slow climb up the school ladder: vice captain of my house, then captain, then cultural secretary of the school. mostly that meant running events and wrangling people. somewhere in there i figured out that organising is its own kind of building.

debating

deep in the debating circuit for all of school.

debating was the one constant through school, and it followed me straight into college. it's where i got comfortable thinking on my feet and making an argument actually land.
